Pippa + Duncan

An ethereal garden setting, lined with hundreds of candles underneath a sea of gypsophila was created for Pippa and Duncan’s special day.

These high-school sweethearts celebrated their love with their favourites at the gorgeous Winehouse just outside of Queenstown, exchanging vows overlooking the stunning mountain range on an idyllic February day.

From the moment we met Pippa we were captivated by her style and grace. Pippa and Duncan engaged with our full planning and styling services from across the ditch in Australia, and the dreamy design commenced.

Pippa’s brief was romantic, classic, soft and chic. Utilising a neutral and clean colour palette using soft white florals with green foliage en masse, complimented by French-inspired style accents.

It was a day filled with romance and grandeur while guests sipped champagne, dined and danced underneath the stars with the aroma of delicious Diptyque Paris candles.

It was truly a day to remember and a dream to create. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Style Notes – Ceremony

• Floral varieties included hydrangeas, roses, lisianthus, freesia, snapdragons, lavender and gypsophila. Bouquets were informal long-stemmed roses bound in white silk trailing ribbons
• The Winehouse was the perfect setting for an ethereal garden wedding, offering numerous locations on one site to create styling magic. Every corner was dripping with layered white florals en masse
• Two floral arches accompanied by 18 metre aisle florals
• Aperol spritz and champagne bar on arrival
• String quartet pre-ceremony and Kayne Taylor on acoustics for ceremony serenading

• Oatmeal, white + grey colour palette with antique gold accents
• Clear marquee roof lined with seven elongated gypsophila clouds suspended above each guest table
• Antique festoon edison bulbs hung between suspended florals providing a soft, warm glow upon dusk
• Burnished gold and glass hanging lanterns lit with layered candlelight beside the open fireplace
• Lush table florals of one variety en masse in low grey ceramic vessels
• Fairy light canopy above the dance floor
• Dessert bar provided by the Winehouse dressed with floral accents
• The first dance area took place outside in the garden lined with hundreds of candles in hurricane vases and festoon lights above
• Live band and karaoke performance by bride and groom
