Our Story

One Fine Day is a Queenstown based team of dedicated wedding and event professionals offering unique & beautiful solutions for their client’s special day. Founded by Director, Kath MacKenzie in 2012 from a desire to provide a unique, refreshing approach for the complete styling, production and management of special occasions.

We consider ourselves some of the luckiest to share our inspiring location with couples who travel from near and far to marry. Our hands on approach enables us to combine our skills and services to deliver creative, cutting edge and elegant designs with ease whilst you relax and enjoy the special moments.

Among the diverse services we offer are wedding and event styling & design, wedding planning, florals and a large and varied inventory of furniture & décor to hire. You can choose how much involvement you require from us; a few hire items, full planning, design & management, or something in between.

We pride ourselves on down-to-earth values and tailor-made event planning. Our focus is on you by adding personality, passion and earnestness to any of our services you have engaged. Teamed with our local knowledge and extensive experience, we aim to strike the perfect balance.

 

Meet The Team

 

Kath MacKenzie, Director/ Founder

Director & Founder, Kath MacKenzie is known for her genuine passion of the events industry, which, combined with her impeccable eye and knowledge, has seen One Fine Day creating beautiful events for the past five years.

Kath believes in a refreshing approach for the complete styling, production and management of special occasions. The key elements of a successful event are, excellent relationships with valuable suppliers, attention to detail and individuality.

Her unique strength is her strong relationships with dedicated suppliers to achieve stunning results for her clients. Having the perfect balance of suppliers in place is crucial to the success of any event. Get this right and all other elements will be delivered with many special memories to follow!

Alex Hopkirk, Senior Wedding Planner

Alex joined One Fine Day back in 2015 and is a vital part of the team. She is a true super star with such an infectious personality that it’s hard not to love her. With past experience in events, sales and design, she brings much dedication and industry knowledge to the One Fine Day Team.

Alex returned from living abroad to her home town Queenstown and has taken up the role of Senior Wedding Planner. Her dedication to client relationships, problem solving skills, and personable approach has already seen Alex plant herself firmly in the local wedding industry and we can’t wait to see all the beautiful weddings she is working on. Amy Zareei, Senior Floral & Event Stylist

Amy leads the One Fine Day Floral & Styling team, managing all design & floral elements and the overall aesthetic of our wedding designs . With an extensive background in the event, floral and interior design industries, she is exceptionally detail focused. Her high standards and and streamlined approach sees our team creating beautiful weddings and events incorporating, textural, lush florals and all the details so that your day stands out from all the rest!

Bethany Camilleri, Office Manager

Bethany has recently taken up the new role of Office Manager. She keeps all the team in check and makes sure everything runs smoothly on a daily basis.

She's our social media guru and keeps our followers engaged with beautiful, fresh, clean, current and inspiring content.

Bethany is our Aussie influence and also is also Mum to the cutest little girl you ever did see!

Both Jordan and I would like to thank you for the past ten or so months. Together, we created something truly amazing. It could not have been more perfect!

A wedding can be a stressful time for some, however your support, flexibility and commitment to our special day made the whole process effortless. Every guest we have seen or spoken to since the wedding has stated that it was the best wedding they had ever attended and that they could feel the love of everyone there. This is exactly what Jordan and I had hoped for… a wedding where people were laughing and genuinely enjoying themselves. You ladies played a huge role in creating the right atmosphere and organised the day in such a way that everything ran seamlessly. I personally am so grateful.

Both Jordan and I can’t thank you enough for your time, passion and support. We hope to cross paths with you again in the future.
